My mother was a fantastic cook, and in fact in all my 50 years I’m still yet to find another’s Sunday Roast that compares, but every time she dished up a meal, especially one that was quite complex, she would walk into the dinning room with a dish of food in her hand, and as she placed it on the table she would say “you’ll not enjoy that…..it’s ruined!” (Believe me when I say it never was ruined, and we always did enjoy it!)
