Sean Leogue

Sean Leogue, 3rd October 1964 - 6th November 2021 It feels impossible to do justice to the man Sean was in a few short words. Most will know him as an incredibly hard worker with a brilliant sense of humour and a deep love for rock n roll. To his family he was a pillar of strength, positivity and fun. A proper family man. Sean was a proud Irish Yorkshireman, born on the 3rd October 1964 to Billy and Marylyn Leogue, brother to Jacquie, Sharon and Kerry. In 1988 he married the love of his life, Mandy, and together they spent 36 wonderful years. They gave their children, Daniel and Lauren, a childhood full of love, fun and laughter. Sean was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia 15 years ago. But many people never realised just how serious this illness was, because despite all that he went through he never lost the fun, dry humour that we loved so much, and was an unwavering force of positivity and strength for our family, right until the end. He was, quite simply, brilliant. Sean was a husband, father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, son-in-law, and a friend to many. To lose him is incredibly hard, but we’ll forever be grateful for all of the wonderful memories and stories we have. Over the years, Macmillan Nurses have been a wonderful support to Sean and our family and we would love for you to donate in his memory and help them continue to support others like us. Thank you
