We would love you to remember Ray as a man whose presence was a gift. He was the life and soul of every party, every gathering and every Anglo Indian dance he ever attended. He was a guiding light, whose laughter and wisdom filled the lives of his family.

It’s hard to put into words the depth of our feelings, as we navigate life without him, but his spirit and love remains with us through our memories and the stories that we share.

Ray’s love for life was infectious. He was always the first one on the dance floor, always ready to make even the simplest moments special.

His dance moves were renowned amongst our family and friends, especially the times Ray and his wife Mercia took to the dancefloor for their legendary Jive, a testament to the love and joy they both shared, which resonated with everyone around them.

Ray’s ability to light up a room and bring people together was remarkable, whether we were just sitting together and singing as a family, or chatting and debating about something deep and meaningful.

Beyond the joy he brought to our gatherings, Ray was the foundation to his family. To Mercia, he was not just a husband but a true companion and best friend, sharing a bond that was both supportive and strong.

As a Father, he instilled in his boys, Darran and Russ, values that have shaped the men they are today. His teachings were not through words alone, but through the example of his integrity, respect, and unwavering moral compass.

His legacy extends beyond his immediate family, touching the lives of his grandchildren, Noah and Adaline, who adored their Papa. His love and lessons are treasures they will carry forever.

Ray was also a beloved brother and uncle, his care and affection spreading wide across our large family, leaving an unforgettable mark on all.

Despite the challenges he faced with his health, Ray’s spirit never faltered. His resilience and positivity, even in the face of adversity, were inspiring.
