Maureen Brown

What a life Maureen had. Always life and soul of the party, full of energy, full of love & most definitely full of colour. Her life started on the steps of an orphanage in Westerham where she would stay for 16 years. Soon after, Maureen met and married George, the man of her dreams and started a family raising 4 beautiful children whilst travelling the world and living in Nigeria and an amazing 18 years in Hong Kong. Maureen lived a wonderful ex-pat life of parties, tennis and even the odd lunchtime gin and tonic. Maureen returned to UK in 1976 and enjoyed watching her children grow up. She became a grandparent with 5 adorable grandchildren and even enjoyed babysitting duties. She loved to help people, became a dinner lady in the local school and went on to become a personal carer and even helped out in the local charity shop well into her 80's. Maureen will be remembered and loved for many things. Her flaming red hair, her love of martini & prosecco, her days & nights at the British Legion, her loving husband George, her children Lorraine, Adrian, Nigel & Simon, her grandchildren Aaron, Megan, Ellie, Callum & Ben, her love of Bingo, her line dancing and trips to the gym, her love of soap opera and the Daily Mail... but most of all Maureen will be remembered for her love of life, love of family & love of friends. A truly extraordinary women who will be sorely missed but whose life should be celebrated. Rest in Peace Maureen, hope you're enjoying a drink or two with George & Adrian xxxx
