Jane Gilbert 1950-2021

On Friday 2nd July 2021, Jane passed away extremely suddenly. This has come as an enormous shock to us all. We do not have the words to describe how much she will be missed. Jane was the head of our family, the captain of our ship. As a wife, mother, grandmother and sister she was our rock. She never believed anyone was too full for second helpings, or that they couldn't be tempted by a cup of tea or sticky bun. She was the planner, the organiser, the feeder and the comforter. We were her world and she was ours. Macmillan Cancer Support is a charity which was close to Jane's heart after all they did for her own mother and other close relatives. We would greatly appreciate any donations to Macmillan in her memory in place of cards or flowers. Thank you.
