We all loved nans cooking, her chips, pie and baking will go down in history as the greatest foods we’ll ever taste at Id’s caf. Recently Nat organised for the singer Michael Ball to phone nan as she was a fan of his music and thought it would brighten her day. It was a big surprise and a day we’ll never forget as nan spoke about her mother’s mangle called Maggie. The phone call was in celebration of nan and grandads 64th wedding anniversary; nan told Michael the secret was to never take an argument to bed. Centre of our world and one in a billion, only once in a lifetime do you get the chance to know and love someone as special as nan. With more friends than most, nan had a positive impact on our lives with her kind and caring heart. Though it has been difficult to see people of late, nan was often on the phone chatting away with friends or family, putting the world to rights. Macmillan are an amazing charity and are there for individuals in their time of need, supporting people like my nan through difficult times.
