Eileen Porter

Eileen was 84 years old and had a life which she always said “I’ve lived, just be happy!” She loved her life. She had 3 brothers who she loved dearly and a daughter Carmen and two grandchildren Olivia and Eleanor who she was immensely proud of. She was often heard to be singing Doris Day songs and watching Monkey World and Housewives of Cheshire. She lived at the Byrons for nearly 10 years and had many friends there. She loved playing bingo with her friends and was well loved and respected by all who knew her ! She wasn’t always in good health but was fiercely independent! Stubborn it’s also called ! She knew best ! And always told her daughter ‘Not to Worry’ which made Carmen worry! Nothing phased Eileen ... she threw the best birthday parties .. starting at 3pm sometimes ending at 12 midnight ! She loved a karaoke and disco and could often be heard with her brother Kevin singing ‘My Way, Frank Sinatra... She raised money for Macmillan by doing a head shave ... which is why donations for Macmillan seemed The right thing to do. ... she then vowed she would dye her hair pink ... which she did before repeating the head shave ... again and again!! If you can, please donate to this worthwhile charity
