Douglas was a big DIY guy. Anything that was broke it was his duty to fix it, he loved building and creating things or should I say breaking things. He once made a doll house for me (his daughter) from scratch plus a little tree house and it surprisingly stayed upright for many years after. It was one of my best memories of him.
