David Teague

David was born in Peterborough in 1963. He moved to Bourne when he was nearly 2 years old and spent his childhood there until going to university. He grew up with his big brother, Philip and younger brother, Christopher. David sang in Bourne Abbey Church choir with his father and two brothers from age seven to eighteen where he sang many solos and also duets with both his brothers. He was made Head Chorister. He attended Bourne Grammar School where he played the clarinet in the school orchestra and he took part in several plays and musicals performed there. He also performed with the Lincolnshire Youth Concert Band. He also played the piano. He was made Head Boy at the Grammar School. He went on to the University of Birmingham where he gained a degree in History. David started work as a trainee manager with W.H. Smith, but moved on to football where he worked for Peterborough United, Birmingham City. Lincoln City and Blackpool clubs. He eventually worked in I.T. for the National Health Service. In 1990 he welcomed his first daughter, Lauren into the world and in 1993, his second daughter, Kayleigh was brought into the world. Both daughters grew up with a doting father and attended many football matches, concerts and visited other countries with their Dad too. We have chosen Macmillan as David had Melanoma cancer and was due to receive immunotherapy. The Macmillan website helped David and his family to understand the process, what the drugs were and what the next steps were. When David was admitted to Lincoln County Hospital, Macmillan nurses were on the online chat and supported family members to understand and answer questions about what was happening. David was dearly loved by his family and he loved them back. Whilst working for the NHS, he wanted a job in which he could come home, listen to his music and earn enough money to attend concerts, football matches and spend time with his family. David will be sorely missed and thought of every single day. From Muppets to music, he will be remembered by all and reminded of forever.
