Darren Shade

Darren was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in March 2021 and unfortunately passed away in July 2022. He was taken far too soon from us all but his zest for life and mischief will always be with us. We will remember him as the biggest prankster around, from letting off stink bombs, kicking bins at people, jumping out and trying to scare people, and filling office drawers with pretty much anything and everything he could find. You always had to watch your back around him and anyone was fair game! But despite all the pranks, he had a warm, kind heart and was always eager to help out, whether it be to do with his work or help out in other circumstances. A fighter til the end, Darren didn’t want to get bogged down with his treatment and kept going as best he could. Husband, son, father, uncle, godparent and grandad. Left behind are so many people who will always think of him and keep him in our hearts. His memory will always live on. Please share your fond memories of Darren so we can all have a giggle with him. Darren asked for donations to MacMillan as they were absolutely fantastic throughout the time we needed them. Let’s help continue the great work they do.
