Carol Gibson

Carol was part of the BT family for over 16 years until last week (01/10/20) when regrettably she lost her very short battle with cancer. It has come as such a shock and loss to us all here at BT that we thought Carol deserved some recognition for just being an excellent person! Having worked across numerous parts of the business, Carol had the ability to adapt, get on with things, and create long lasting friendships along the way. Carol was always professional and supportive (sometimes like a work mam to everyone!), helping everyone out when needed, just getting on with things and getting it done. Her sense of humour was very dry and her one liners were legendary! Carol was a one of a kind. She was part of a very close knit family, adoring them all. She doted on her two nieces, Hannah and Olivia and loved talking about their lives and particularly Hannah’s achievements at the performing arts centre. She loved to spend time with them, especially visiting Disneyland Paris. Their Christmas of 2019 was spent in Disneyland, one of Carol’s dreams! What Carol didn’t know about Disney wasn’t worth knowing, she was the Winnie the Pooh fountain of all knowledge. Carol was selfless when it came to her family and wherever they were she would want to be there. Carol enjoyed a meal out, and browsing menu’s before venturing to restaurants. She will leave a huge Carol shaped hole in our lives and she will be sorely missed.
