Anthony Needham-Lingard

Anthony fought a very brave and courageous battle with cancer, and we couldn’t be prouder of how much strength he has shown over the past 8 years.

Anthony was on numerous trials for new cancer treatments, and showed enormous amounts of bravery every step of the way. We can’t thank MacMillan enough for gifting us the extra time we got to spend with our loving husband/dad/grandad, and for all of their kindness along the way.

Anthony was the light of our family. He was always dancing and singing, and going on walkabouts. He had a true love for gardening, particularly when it came to looking after his tomato plants, and making delicious home cooked dinners - especially when there was a full English breakfast or a 16oz steak involved.

He loved going on adventures in his camper van with his wife Margaret, whilst often accompanied by his kids and grandchildren, and had a real love for exploring. He loved spending time fishing, and crabbing down at Carrington Park in Milford. And spent years working hard as a painter and decorator, eventually also with his daughter Paula.

He loved nothing more than a fish and chips, and a trip down to Lee-on-the-Solent. And spending time with his family, who he absolutely adored.

We are all so grateful for the memories we made together, and the laughs we shared right until the end. As you always said, be like the sun dial; only count the sunny days.

It’s time you finally get some rest, after all those years rock and rolling alongside your loving wife.

We love you more than you’ll ever know, and miss you dearly.
