This year, me and my sister Charlotte are taking on the GNR in memory of our mam. She always said that the Great North Run was one of the best experiences she'd ever had, so I have been wanting to do it for a couple of years, after a couple of failed attempts (thanks to covid and my lack of organisation!) I was finally given a charity place for Macmillan this year.

As I’m sure you’re all well aware by now Macmillan is a charity so close to our hearts. Mam would often talk about the amazing support they gave her over the phone, and the nurses were incredible towards the end of her life.

So, my aim is to raise £606 for the charity, which is what it costs to employ a support worker for a week.
