What is a tribute fund?
A tribute fund is an online fundraising space where you, your family and friends can share photos, stories and memories about a loved one, whilst raising money for Macmillan in their honour.
How do I set up a tribute fund?
Simply click ‘Create a Fund’ which will take you to create an account if you don’t already have one. You can then create your tribute fund by entering the details of the person you’d like to remember, adding photos, memories and even a video if you’d like.
Does it cost anything to set up a tribute fund?
No, tribute funds are free to set up.
I haven't received my confirmation email
Sometimes an email can go directly to your junk folder, so it's best to check in there first. If you still don’t have your email, please get in touch with our Supporter Care team on 0300 1000 200 or via firstname.lastname@example.org.
What can I do once my fund is set up?
Once set up, your tribute fund is a place that you can go to remember your loved one. You can write a tribute to them, add photos and even a video if you’d like, perhaps of a special song.
You can share the link to your page with family and friends so they can donate and leave messages. Any events you do can be linked to your page, anything from a karaoke night in their honour, to an annual memorial ball – a tribute fund provides a space to show all your fundraising in one place. You may also wish to revisit your fund on special dates.
Why can't I find my tribute fund when I search for it?
When setting up your fund you must tick the ‘Searchable’ box if you want it to show up in search results and be visible to any other visitors. You can change this at any time by ticking and unticking the box in your account section.
Can I send in donations instead?
Of course, please send donations, along with a covering letter with your details and stating whether they are to be added as offline donations to your tribute fund, to:

Can I add offline donations and collections to my fund?
Yes! You can do this either from your account section, either by clicking ‘Update my fund page’, or the ‘Edit offline amount’ button.
Can I fundraise for an event on my tribute fund?
Yes. You, your friends and family can set up event pages linked to your main tribute fund. All you need to do is click ‘Create an event’ on your main tribute page and follow the step by step process.
I'd like to set up a direct debit in memory of a loved one, can I do this on a tribute fund?
Unfortunately not. However, you can set up a Direct Debit through Macmillan’s main website and add these to your tribute fund as offline donations. If you aren’t the tribute fund owner, you can let whoever is know that you’ve done this and they can add your donation to the site with a message from you.
Do I have to set up an account before I can donate?
No, you only need a tribute funds account in order to set up a tribute fund or an event fund. You can donate without doing this. We will ask for some contact details in order to process your donation, and will check with you whether you’re happy to hear from Macmillan about other products and events you might be interested in.
Is there someone I can talk to directly?
