David Curl

Dad was always hard working, only retiring at 70 as a carpenter and joiner, due to poor health, when he was diagnosed with prostrate cancer, which he fought and recovered from. Unfortunately he was diagnosed with terminal cancer of the saliva gland in April which effected his speech, eating and drinking, however he still fought as hard as he could. He was always keen on all sports but mainly football, golf and motor racing. He played football in his younger days and then managed local football teams including Thorpe Social, Harlequins and Clacton Town. Then was a member of Clacton Golf Club for many years. He was well travelled and enjoyed many holidays with his wife and family and friends. He particularly enjoyed cruising and missed it during the pandemic. He has been a great role model to many and well respected by all that knew him. Many have described him as a "true gentleman", "lovely man" and "Top bloke". He was the best husband, dad and grandad we could ever ask for and more xxx
